Abstract

A comparative analysis is presented on the Mula Bandha technique within the context of Yoga, juxtaposed with Kegel exercises as part of conventional practices addressing pelvic floor and overall sexual health. The correlation between pelvic floor disorders and sexual dysfunctions emphasizes the need for a comprehensive approach in medical care. In Yoga practice, Mula Bandha is integrated into a system of techniques encompassing breathing, meditation, physical postures, and pelvic floor strengthening. Mounting evidence supports the neuropsychological and hormonal effects of Yoga. It is suggested that Mula Bandha, coupled with Yoga techniques, may surpass conventional therapeutic expectations, emerging as a holistic option for enhancing sexual health, albeit acknowledging the requisite for further experimental evidence
