I Consenso Argentino sobre el Uso de Testosterona en Mujeres Postmenopáusicas

Resumen
Se presenta el I Consenso Argentino sobre el uso de testosterona en mujeres posmenopáusicas, desarrollado por un panel multidisciplinario de 31 especialistas mediante metodología Delphi. Se analizan indicaciones, contraindicaciones, dosificación, formulaciones y monitoreo de la terapia androgénica femenina. Se establece que la única indicación con respaldo científico es el trastorno de deseo sexual hipoactivo (HSDD) en posmenopausia con diagnóstico clínico confirmado. Se recomienda el uso de formulaciones transdérmicas a dosis fisiológicas, y se desaconsejan la vía oral, intramuscular y los implantes subdérmicos. Se clasifican los niveles de evidencia y grados de recomendación según estándares internacionales. El documento promueve una prescripción médica responsable, fundamentada en la evidencia científica disponible y libre de sesgos comerciales, adaptada al contexto clínico argentino.
