BÚSQUEDA DE SENSACIONES Y CONDUCTAS SEXUALES DE RIESGO EN HOMBRES QUE TIENEN SEXO CON HOMBRES: REVISIÓN SISTEMÁTICA

Resumen
La búsqueda de sensaciones sexuales hace referencia a la tendencia de realizar prácticas que permitan obtener niveles más altos de excitación sexual a través de la implicación en experiencias sexuales novedosas. Estas prácticas pueden conllevar a conductas sexuales de riesgo hacia el VIH, al respecto, una población principalmente implicada en la búsqueda de sensaciones son los hombres que tienen sexo con hombres. Objetivo: Sintetizar la mejor evidencia disponible sobre la búsqueda de sensaciones y las conductas sexuales de riesgo en hombres que tienen sexo con hombres. Material y método: Se siguió el enfoque metodológico de Holly, Salmond y Saimbert y las directrices PRISMA. Resultados: Se incluyeron 12 estudios publicados entre junio de 2019 y junio de 2024. Los hallazgos muestran una relación negativa entre la búsqueda de sensaciones y las conductas sexuales de riesgo, específicamente en el uso inconsistente del condón (r = -0.25 a 0.52). Asimismo, la búsqueda de sensaciones novedosas influye en la toma de decisiones sexuales. Conclusión: La búsqueda de sensaciones sexuales es un factor relevante que debe abordarse para optimizar la prevención del VIH en esta población.
